This book on the timing of the Rapture greatly impacted my thinking and caused me to switch from the Pre-Tribulation camp to embrace his Pre-Wrath Rapture position. I found the argumentation persuasive and the insights regarding a wide range of passages on eschatology to be truly enlightening. When Marvin Rosenthal advocated for this position it cost him dearly. He was forced to leave the leadership of the successful ministry which he had started = Friends of Israel. Rosenthal is very clear on the distinction between tribulation and suffering that originate from Satan or from man vs. the wrath of God poured out in judgment on unbelievers. The practical application is that Christians should be prepared to endure the type of suffering that the Antichrist will unleash during the Great Tribulation Period. It is only after this time (sometime during the second half of Daniel’s 70th week) that Christ will rapture His church. This event will initiate the Day of the Lord with the outpouring of God’s wrath. He shows how the events of 2 Thessalonians 2 are consistent with the order of events in Christ’s Olivet Discourse and with the unfolding of the seals and bowls and trumpets in the book of Revelation. His charts help to drive home the synchronization of all of these different passages on end time events. This is must reading for an serious student of eschatology.
